Creating Your First Presentation

Creating your first presentation with SlideForge is quick and easy. Follow these simple steps:

  1. Sign Up: Create a free account at slideforge.io/register. You can use your email or sign in with Google/Apple.
  2. Purchase Credits: Navigate to the Credits page and choose a credit package that suits your needs. Credits are used when generating presentations.
  3. Go to Generate: Click on "Generate" in the sidebar or navigation menu.
  4. Enter Your Topic: Describe what you want to present. Be as specific as possible for better results. For example: "Introduction to Machine Learning for Beginners" or "Q4 Sales Report 2024".
  5. Select Preferences:
    • Choose the tone (Professional, Casual, Technical, Creative, Persuasive)
    • Select the number of slides (5-30)
    • Pick a template (optional - you can change it later)
    • Choose the language
  6. Generate: Click "Generate Presentation" and wait 30-60 seconds. You'll see real-time status updates.
  7. Review & Edit: Once generated, review your slides. You can edit text, change layouts, regenerate individual slides, or make any adjustments.
  8. Export: When satisfied, click "Download" to export your presentation as a PPTX file, ready to use in PowerPoint or Google Slides.

Tip: The more specific your topic description, the better the AI can understand your needs and create relevant content.

Understanding Credits

SlideForge uses a credit-based system. Here's everything you need to know:

What are Credits?

Credits are the currency used to generate presentations. Each presentation generation consumes credits based on the number of slides.

Credit Usage

  • Standard presentations: 1 credit per slide
  • Premium templates may require additional credits
  • Editing existing presentations: Free (no credits needed)
  • Regenerating slides: Uses credits based on the number of slides regenerated

Purchasing Credits

You can purchase credits in packages:

  • Starter Pack: 50 credits - Perfect for trying out the service
  • Professional Pack: 200 credits - For regular users
  • Business Pack: 500 credits - Best value for teams
  • Enterprise Pack: 1000+ credits - For high-volume users

Credit Balance

Your credit balance is displayed in the top navigation bar and on your dashboard. Credits never expire, so you can use them at your own pace.

Note: You only need credits to generate new presentations. Viewing, editing, and downloading existing presentations is free.

Exporting Your Presentation

Once your presentation is ready, you can export it in multiple formats:

PPTX Format (PowerPoint)

The most common format, fully compatible with:

  • Microsoft PowerPoint (Windows, Mac, Web)
  • Google Slides (import PPTX files)
  • Apple Keynote (import PPTX files)
  • LibreOffice Impress

How to Export

  1. Open your presentation in the viewer
  2. Click the "Download" button in the top-right corner
  3. Select "Export as PPTX"
  4. Your file will download automatically

After Export

Once exported, you can:

  • Open and edit in PowerPoint or Google Slides
  • Share with colleagues
